Hardware - VIS - Hardware Engineer
Mission
Describe the principal mission of the position
- Design and Develop HW, validates the products according to the specification and Valeo design rules
- Applies the standards and the associated technologies linked to this product family
- Documentation according to HW development methodology (Design justification file, HSI, HMI, component specifications, …)
- Support the customer validation and design review activities
- All the documentation required for the product industrialisation and support our EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Supplier) during the industrialisation phase
Responsibilities
Highlight the main responsibilities
- Responsible for the design of the product in accordance with the customer specification and Valeo design rules
- Cooperate with PCB layout engineer and take responsibilities for the quality of PCB layout.
- Responsible for the HW product validation and industrialization
- Responsible for the HW technical documentation with respect of the HW development methodology and the design review preparation.
- Responsible to deliver document in time to PM
- Responsible for the integration of the different domains constraints (HW, SW, purchasing, industrialization, mechanic, quality) into the product HW design
- To contribute to the definition and the improvement of standard documents linked to supplier selection, electronics components qualification and usage
Applying the Environment Safety and Security procedures and good practices; know for their activities and the activities of subcontractors the potential risks and their consequences. Be attentive and responsive to them and manage the associated action plans.

Bachelor/Masters of Electronics Engineering
Professional Experience
- How many years of professional experience in a specific professional area are required for the position?
Hardware Engineer\: 2-5 years in embedded electronic design (DC/DC converters, component technology, ECU, digital & analog electronics, Digital electronics)
Sr. Hardware Engineer \: Atleast 6 years in embedded electronic design (DC/DC converters, component technology, ECU, digital & analog electronics, Digital electronics, High Speed Circuit concepts)
Automotive industry is added advantage for both
Technical
Good knowledge and hands-on about Analog and Power Circuit, MOSFET circuits etc.,
Should have knowledge in Various Switching Topologies like Buck-Boost, SEPIC, Bridge etc.,
Good knowledge in design of CAN/LIN, Microprocessor/ Microcontrollers circuits and Hardware-Software interface requirements
Exposure to High-speed circuits design and concepts
Should have good knowledge/experience in design justification & design rules about Electronic Devices like, BJTs, Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, Scotty Diodes, etc.,
Should understand PCB Layout concepts and techniques for Power, Mixed and Digital circuits,
Exposure to Motor drive application circuit design
Should have good hands-on in HW circuit simulation, Worst-case analysis , different HW related tests etc.,
Good Knowledge about EMI/EMC concepts/Design Techniques
Knowledge on standards is added advantage( ISO/CISPR/ ..) etc.,
Exposure to Thermal concepts in electronic design,
Hands on experience in Design, Product Development and testing, and other activities in electronic product life Cycle
Exposure to Requirement analysis, collaborative interaction with other product design teams like Systems, Software, Mechanical design teams, etc,
Exposure to automotive product hardware design is an added advantage.
