Shift: Full-time (40 hours)

Position Summary:

The Expansion Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Expansion department with analyzing market conditions that may impact potential solar customers within specified geographic regions. This person is in-the-know with current solar conditions and is at the epicenter of providing data used for critical decision making. This role is for someone who is curious and enjoys working independently to find answers to sometimes complex questions. Research will cover a broad array of topics including utility rates, market demographics, local permitting requirements, competition, and public policy. This position will coordinate, inform, and support critical decision-making for market development and be a primary driver of Blue Raven’s national growth strategy.

Essential Duties:

  • Research Electric rates and rate structures across multiple utilities within each region
  • Net metering rates and rate structures offered by each utility
  • Local building and electrical requirements
  • Demographic information including median household income, home value, single-family home ownership, employment rate, and population growth
  • Rebates, state and federal tax programs, and other financial incentives associated with renewable energy
  • Competitive analysis including design viability, previously deployed solar, and local competition
  • HOA and solar access laws

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Research/analytics experience preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Detail-oriented and capable of driving multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized manner
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic with the ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve effective results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate information accurately

Additional Information:

This position will have high visibility withing the company and has great potential for upward mobility. Attention to detail, completion of tasks, and ability to prioritize workload are the keys to success in this role.

  • Track and communicate any changes to the aforementioned
  • Approve or deny requests for footprint expansion or additional utility companies within existing markets
  • Create and assign the tasks required for successful market entry; hold sales and operations leaders accountable to meeting deadlines for task completion
  • Distill complex topics into easily understood reports with both quantitative and qualitative context for recommendations
  • Additional problem solving and analysis as needed
  • Compensation:

    $15 - $18/hr
