Process Metallurgist

Full-Time
Primary Objective
• Provide technical support related to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of products that safely and cost effectively meet requirements for quality and delivery, as well as process metallurgy support for operations.
Position Reports To:
• Director of Process Metallurgy
Responsibilities
• Review material for compliance to critical order requirements
• Develop and improve manufacturing plans and processes
• Perform statistical analysis and correlate process and product data
• Support non-conformance disposition, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
• Lead and support continuous improvement efforts
• Review customer claims and issue technical reports
• Provide customer support and participate in customer audits
• Compliance with Quality and Safety systems and procedures
• No supervisory responsibilities

Education
• Minimum 4 year degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science or a related field
Preferred Experience
• 1-3 years minimum experience in ferrous metallurgy of Aerospace materials
• 1-3 years minimum experience in hot working and heat treatment processing
