EQUANS is looking for a Head of Water Treatment to join our team in Reading with additional travel on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role coving the UK nationally working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The Mobile Technical Services has constructed a Service delivery unit to self -deliver all Water Treatment & Hygiene activities currently subcontracted across all EQUANS divisions and sectors.

The Head of Water Treatment will lead and develop the unit, recruiting the necessary management personnel, negotiating internal contracts with senior BU stakeholders and ensure effective service delivery within budgetary parameters.

Overall accountability and operational responsibility for all directly delivered Water treatment activities, Management of all financial, HR, SHEQ and physical resources as they relate to the sector. Including the planning and deployment of those resources. Full responsibility for the development of the Business Unit to deliver self-delivered Water Treatment capabilities to all EQUANS Divisions across the United Kingdom.

What will you deliver?

Finance / Commercial Responsibilities

Ensure the Water treatment Business Unit remains on budget by reviewing budgets monthly via 1-2-1 meetings with the Operations Director ensuring that corrective actions plans are put in place and closed out.
Production and presentation of a Monthly Business Unit Report
Management and Development on both Internal and External Water Treatment Contracts to achieve
Expansion of Water treatment Self-delivery Operations in line with the phased business model across the United Kingdom

Service Delivery

Take senior operational role in business development activities within the sector
To improve self-delivery ratios
Ensure delivery of service streams in Scope for Contracted Sites
Ensure all contracts achieve contractual compliance regarding PPMs and reactive remedial works utilising both the relevant CAFM system and Customer Portals

Effectively develop and manage all Water Treatment & Hygiene activities in line with agreed commercial and governance processes and thereby ensuring that all Water Treatment activities become a self-delivered service stream through EQUANS across the UK.

Management of a team comprising of Regional Technical Managers, Area Technical Supervisors, teams of Water Treatment Technicians and supporting Administrators located in Regional Operations centres

Take responsibility for all accounts within their sector and ensure the customer is communicated with proactively. Preparation of monthly reports to drive continuous improvement and growth through all areas of the sector.

Who are we looking for?
BSC in Microbiology or equivalent industry experience
Membership of the Institute of Water desirable
Proficient level of IT skills
Effectively work under pressure
Ability to diagnose faults and recommend appropriate solutions
Able to work alone and as part of a wider team
Excellent stakeholder management in a similar role
Effectively develop credible, professional relationship with senior stakeholders across the entire EQUANS UK Business unit to be able to maximise the self-delivery opportunity
P&L management and budget holder experience
