As a QC Microbiology Supervisor, you will be responsible for: • Oversee growth promotion testing and planning of usage of microbiological media • Oversee environmental monitoring of the manufacturing areas, including batch related EM, is performed and documented accurately • Ensure in-process and lot release microbiology testing is performed accurately and timely • Ensure timely review of routine environmental monitoring data, microbiology testing data, and excursion notifications and reports are completed accurately and timely • Draft and execute protocols in support of site contamination control programs, as needed • Ensure equipment used in the EM program and microbiological testing are calibrated and maintained according to prescribed intervals Participate in the maintenance and trending of microbial identification database for isolates recovered from monitoring programs • Perform trend analysis and reports for environmental monitoring data allowing innovative and proactive usage of the data • Support site qualification/validation/commissioning activities as needed • Serve as a qualified trainer and supervisor of Technicians • Mentor and support career development of direct reports • Initiate and investigate Action excursions • Support audits and inspections as needed Required skills to have for the success of this role • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology or related field is required • Minimum five (5) years of experience in in a cGMP Quality Control microbiology role • Basic knowledge of Compendial (e.g., USP, CP, JP, etc.) requirements and standards • High proficiency in aseptic techniques when executing microbial test methods and environmental monitoring • Proficient in performing technical writing (e.g., test methods, SOPs, protocols, etc.) • Strong technical writer with experience in writing protocols, deviations, investigations, SOPs • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively, and maintain a high level of productivity • High level of ownership and accountability Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
