Senior Commissioning Agent (CxA) Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute services for large and complex New Building and Existing Building Commissioning (Cx) projects
- Technical support for Cx Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
- Assist business development staff in scoping and pricing of new projects
Desired Professional Attributes:
- Experience and success working with building owners and contractor community
- Proficient with system diagnostics and evaluation
- Experience with facility improvement projects
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software: Excel/databases, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of Cx experience
- Cx systems on medium to large commercial projects with complex systems
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building control, and life safety systems
- Ability to review, understand, and evaluate drawings and specifications
- Robust project and client management experience
Required Qualifications
- AABC Commissioning Agent (CxA), ASHRAE Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), AEE Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), BCxA Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or NEBB Building Systems Commissioning Certification (BSC)
- OSHA 10 Certified
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- ASHRAE Operations and Performance Management Professional
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)

Compensation and Position Details:
- Moderate travel and occasional overnight stay required
- Onsite work in occupied buildings and construction sites
- May be responsible for managing limited quantity of direct reports
- Participation in regional and national industry conferences
- Compensation dependent on experience
