If you are a Technician looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based out of our Cudahy, WI location, you will support industrial equipment start-ups, perform field repairs, fulfill preventative maintenance contracts, and provide training and guidance to operators and maintenance personnel at our customer sites. You will work under the direction of the Lifecycle Services Manager, with coaching from our senior technician team. 

AS AN ASSOCIATE SERVICE TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL: 

  • Perform technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for Vilter customers, with support from Vilter engineering, parts, and service personnel.

  • Pay attention to detail in the repair and set-up of equipment.

  • Advocate for safety, following all safety protocols and escalating safety concerns right away.

  • Conduct/participate in technical training for Vilter equipment.

  • Participate in joint sales calls with other Emerson team members, when needed.

  • Document all activities and work performed in service reports, and provide excellent communication.

WHO YOU ARE: 

You know to prepare for unexpected outcomes and try different solutions. You ask the right questions to accurately troubleshoot situations. You uncover root causes to difficult problems. You research initiatives and try new approaches. 



REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • High school degree plus one to three (1-3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Mechanically inclined, with coursework in mechanical/electrical systems, manufacturing, maintenance, etc.

  • Excellent customer-facing, service-oriented communication skills to represent company through interactions with team members 

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills  

  • Microsoft Office proficiency as applicable for preparing service reports, scheduling appointments, expense reports, etc.

  • Ability to travel up to 85%-90% of the time. 

  • Legal Authorization to work within the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role. 

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Associate's Degree in Technical Field plus three (3 ) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • EPA Universal Certification highly preferred

  • Working knowledge of industrial ammonia, industrial CO2, Chillers, or Compression systems
