Our company is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of " Area Fabrication Coordinator shop " for our Billion dollar LNG Project based at a fabrication yard in Murmansk, Russia

Contract Duration: 2 Years

Rotation : 56 days on/ 21 days off

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assumes responsibility for supervision of construction activities to achieve project objectives, e.g. safety, quality, environment, schedule and cost.

  • Implements safety program and ensures safe working conditions. Ensures a clean work site by supervising a site clean-up as required. Requests all personnel on site to participate.
  • Supervises field construction activities through the Superintendents and Construction Supervisors, and coordinates their activities.
  • Report to the Fabrication Manager any difficulties that might prevent the Construction targets being achieved (lack of drawings, specifications or material, interference by other Subcontractors, incongruence in the plans and schedules, environmental problems particularly in the work areas, etc.)
  • Check that all Construction Subcontractors organization people on the Site are in sufficient number and with suitable qualification to manage all activities and provide continued supervision of the works, expedite time sheets.
  • Authorize withdrawal of equipment/materials from the warehouse
  • Check the preservation by Construction Subcontractors of materials taken out from material storage.
  • Attend the meetings with Construction Subcontractors,
  • Verify that the works are performed within the required quality level and that the Subcontractors perform Quality Controls as required. Report directly to the Site Quality Manager on this matter.
  • Before any new construction activity begins, make personally sure that everything needed for the proper performance of that activity is actually available on site (i.e. availability of materials, manpower and equipment, electrical power, and absence of any kind of impediment and safety hazard), verify the adequacy of Construction Subcontractors equipment to perform the required work and report any deficiencies or impediments to the Fabrication Manager and Construction Director.
  • Issues all work orders (engineering request and variation submitted by subcontractors) : describes the works to be implemented, requests for an estimated price, issues the work order, initiates numbering and makes all involved functions approve. In due time expedite, check and approve attachments for work orders close-out.
  • Verify and validate the weekly & monthly physical progress of the Subcontractors works for progress reporting.
  • Coordinates with his COMPANY counterpart, keeping him informed daily of progress and problems.
  • Supervises field construction activities through the Superintendents and Construction Supervisors, and coordinates their activities.

Key Competencies Required:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in oil and gas mega project.
  • Sub-desks Assembly
  • Have good knowledge of all the construction specifications, procedures and schedules.
