Job Description

The Store Room Clerk is responsible for the administration of parts supporting the maintenance function. The Store Room Clerk is responsible for the determination of the overall inventory level, minimum/maximum levels and the requisitioning, storage and control of all material stocked in the storeroom

Responsibilities

  • Receive all materials, distribute, and restock the shelves with Inventory items.
  • Verify packing slips with received materials, update the CMMS system, and report discrepancies
  • Monitor stock levels and generate purchase request to maintain required inventories.
  • Issues replacement parts to maintenance techs and fills orders as requested. 
  • Contact suppliers to expedite or order parts during non-regular business hours to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain files of PO’s and Packing slip’s to meet company requirements.
  • Insure the accuracy of the Inventory system using random and scheduled Cycle Counts. Conducts periodic physical inventory to assure proper availably of required stock
  • Work with Maintenance to continually find ways to reduce Inventory levels and maintain a healthy amount for the critical spare parts

  • Inventory Control System ( SAP and/or other CMMS )
  • Prepare reports and communicate to maintenance leadership
  • Communicate with vendors and shippers to insure accurate and timely deliveries


    Qualifications

    • High School Graduate or GED
    • 3 year(s) experience working in a manufacturing operation, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Knowledge of CMMS is preferred
