Job Title: Analyst I Production
Department: Production Operations

Summary: The Production Analyst is responsible for analyzing and maintaining daily, and monthly production reports. You will be required to file monthly regulatory forms for both oil and fresh and saltwater systems. You will need to communicate daily with third-party representatives to ensure the accuracy of volumetric data. In addition, the Production Analyst will need to consistently look for ways to develop process improvements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to managers and engineers in all stages of development, analysis, and presentation of data using knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and other software
  • Generates high-quality reports and presentations for departmental and upper management use
  • Performs trend analysis and creates probability distributions
  • Creates queries in database software and generates reports as needed
  • Imports/maintains production data
  • Provides production data and reports in conjunction with company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for loading, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting data into various databases and software applications
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly gas and oil data from reporting services to provide accurate data to other Business Units and regulatory agencies
  • Reviews daily new wells data and production to assist field offices in maintaining the accuracy of delivery systems and allocation
  • Generates reports and provides information to internal clients and regulatory agencies as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of two (2) years of industry experience as a Production Analyst
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Advanced skills with Excel, creating and configuring VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Sum IF formulas and charts
  • Ability to perform data mining across multiple platforms

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ProCount, Carte, and eVIn experience preferred
  • Excalibur Production experience preferred
  • Have a proficient understanding of field flows
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Motivated self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision
  • Familiar with oilfield terminology and operations
