The primary focus of this role is to work closely with Flow factories, Sales offices and PMO team to identify customer requirements that present contractual risk to Emerson. this position will be AP focal point to assess project requirements, communicate and internally manage the solutions to successfully deliver them to customers. Maximize Emerson’s capability to handle complex projects. Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and maintain the internally agreed level of profitability.
Key Job Responsibilites:
1.Direct work on complex, customer required approvals projects. Identify Options for compliance. Identify the information needs of each work group and assures they are met.
2.Support customer specs review and provide gap analysis between Emerson manufacturing processes and coordinate feasible solutions.
3.Work with ETO and ME to expand the capability of the factory to take on new challenges. E.g. Complex requirements from customers.
4.Support Project engineers in preparation & approval of Project Inspection & Test and Quality Plans, quality/technical meetings.
5.Provide technical support through project execution, including PIMs, inspections, customer comment resolution etc.
6.Works with customers, suppliers, and third party inspectors, as needed, to manage assigned projects to completion.
7.Work with AP PMO Leaders and Ops to reduce reoccurrence of inspection punch points via lessons learnt sessions.
8.Coordinate with WW factories for the update and alignment of procedure/drawing for customer.
9.Provide training to proposal engineers, Project Engineers and Project Managers on factory manufacturing processes, inspection processes and PMO best practices.
10.Provide training to the TechSupport and Country teams based on the common repeated technical questions from TechSupport and country teams.
11.Maintain library of specification reviews.
12.Use best practices to more efficiently utilize Emerson resources and promotes those practices within the local project team.
13.Build relationships across world area factories and functions to facilitate timely answers to technical questions.
1.Bachelor’s degree required, Business or engineering field preferred.
2.Strong written and oral English communication skills in a technical environment.
3.3 years and above work experience in a customer support role or sales role is preferred.
4.Experience with project management.
5.Firm knowledge of the industry culture, structure, and products.
6.Good understanding of international standards such as API, ASME, ASNT, IEC, ISO, Norsok & various Marine Classification such as ABS, Rina etc.
7.Cross functional problem solving experience a plus.
