The Master Data management and Data Analytics team is a new enterprise team at Emerson defining how data can better serve the business.  Master data at Emerson is the core reference data around which business is conducted (e.g. Entities, Users, Location, Business Units, Financial Chart Of Accounts, etc). There are 5 key domains that are currently mastered centrally By ITBMO (Legal Entity, User, Locations, Business Entities, location, Financial Codes). The role will execute on supporting existing data domains and working with the business to identify other domains that can benefit from central mastering and governance program.

This Role will support the Enterprise ITBMO Master Data domain, data team and operational processes. This includes ensuring data integrity through governance and compliance while processing data requests from the corporate and business stakeholders. In additional to supporting operations, data and team, the team member will work closely with both the business and other partners on key master data initiatives to analyze, cleanse and enrich existing Master data.  
 
This Role will support the ITBMO Data Analytics program, developing processes for effective data collection, data integration, data analysis, data visualization and reporting required to run the business of IT. This includes providing direction for a team of data analysts. They also support developing processes for effective data analysis and reporting using standard tools like SQL Query, PowerBI etc. To do so, they need a combination of data analysis and business skills. 

This position will be based in best Cost Country but will report to the Support Master Data management & Data Analytics

Responsibilities

•    Support all operational (data management & request ) responsibilities. Key duties include supporting a team and processes around master data requests (entry, review and approvals) through workflows in multiple applications including MDM tool, Excel, reporting tools etc.
•    Supporting business requests efficiently to ensure that they are implemented timely and according to set data governance standards and processes
•    Supporting Master Data management Tools including Profisee MDM application, related enhancements/upgrades and excel databases etc.
•    Supporting data projects key to operational duties including periodic data scrubbing (cleansing), enrichment (updates) and audits to ensure data integrity
•    Supporting both internal and external process, tool and data Audits
•    Establish and support relationships, proactively seeking business insight into upcoming activities impacting Master Data and key business decisions
•    Support the Master data team around establishing strong documentation for both existing processes and operational guides
•    Streamline and automate reporting to support operational efficiencies
•    Build and publish business facing information that promotes data visibility
•    Support Data roadmap for Master Data Attributes and related processes
•    Implement service roadmap starting with defining an approach for supporting current state data challenges
•    Governance, Compliance and Adoption to Ensure Data Integrity
•    Execute on all (change requests from business effectively to ensure that they are implemented according to set data governance standards and processes
•     Support periodic audits to ensure data integrity
•    Verify all Master Data management processes around data governance are followed
•    Support the team and business to resolve or escalate requests that do not comply with the governance set by ITBMO
•    Build content knowledge around how the business end-users use this foundational data to run the business
•    Support the strategy and delivery of all ITBMO Data Analytics Needs
•    Help develop strategy on use and deployment of Power BI and other data visualization tools across ITBMO initiatives



Requirements

•    Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in the field of IT, Data Analytics or Business Administration
•    2 years of relevant data management and data analytics (master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance,      data quality, data modeling, data standards)
•    2 years experience in architecting, designing, and building analytics and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableaux 
•    Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL (Certifications are an advantage)
•    Good understanding of the ETL process concept / Data warehousing
•    Basic Knowledge of REST API’s (advanced or higher is an advantage)
•    Knowledge of ServiceNow is an advantage
•    Project management experience is an advantage
•    Results-Oriented and self-directed with a strong sense of urgency in meeting project goals and deadlines
•    Team player with analytical skills and attentive to details
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Required
•    Experience in designing and architecting integrations between systems using standard connectors, publish-subscribe, and other mechanisms
•    Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (ie: MS PowerPoint)
•    Excellent in English (oral, written and inter-personal skills)
•    Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
