Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager – Maintenance with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Successful candidate must be local to the Deer Park and Bayport, TX areas (there is no relocation assistance or per diem offered). In-plant maintenance experience is highly preferred.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

Job Description / Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed the company and customer safety standards
  • Comply with all company and customer procedures, engineering practices and other standards
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating capital projects at the Texas facilities (Deer Park and Bayport, TX sites)
  • This position adds value to Client and contributes to achieving maximum profitability by installing and improving the capital assets required to produce products and meet governmental regulations
  • Utilize a modified “Stage Gate” approach for project development and execution for small to mid-size projects ( Skills / Qualifications

    Skills / Qualifications:

    • A BS or MS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering
    • This is a mid level role and targeting 5-15 years of related experience in project engineering and project management
    • Excellent computer and organizational skills
    • The ability to keep information confidential
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Working knowledge of detailed engineering contractor 3D software/tools

     

    Additional Desired Skills / Qualifications:

    • Professional Engineer license (P.E.)
    • Experience with SAP
    • Experience using the Independent Project Analysis (a.k.a. IPA) project execution method
    • In-plant maintenance experience highly preferred
