What if we showed you how we are solving the world’s greatest challenges by transforming intangible ideas into intelligent solutions for a more connected, sustainable world?

Transportation affects every aspect of daily life, no matter where you are in the world! Jacobs is made up of a team of multi-disciplinary rail experts who work on complex projects around the globe. We are driven by the extraordinary as well as the seemingly mundane, working with our partners to make the world more connected and more sustainable for everyone.

It is apparent that rail is currently experiencing something of a renaissance. Regions that haven’t traditionally had a culture of rail travel, and places where there has been historical underinvestment, are turning to rail with vigour. Imagining how rail journeys might be experienced in 2050 will help shape the increasing role rail will play in our future.

We need your project delivery skills, leadership talent, and client relationship expertise, and in return we can help you grow, pursue and fulfill what drives you – so we can make big impacts within our region and on the world, together.

Reporting to the Design and Build Lead for our Middle East Region as Senior Project Design Manager you will be responsible for the planning and management of the overall delivery of Design and Build (D&B) rail projects across the Middle East. You will be covering a broad scope of services that we offer to our clients from concept, design and construction tenders and delivery, to looking at forging Public Private Partnership alliances for transport infrastructure projects.

In your position you will help to: -

•    Develop and implement Project Execution Plans
•    Report and forecast on cost and resource management
•    Provide management of contracts including review, negotiations and agreement
•    Manage internal project teams and sub-consultants
•    Manage the project risks closely with the contractor
•    Collaborate with our global integrated delivery teams
•    Manage and develop client relationships

As a successful candidate you will have a degree (or higher) in an engineering discipline, and you will be able to demonstrate a diverse range of experience covering project and design management on complex design and build multidisciplinary rail and transit projects exceeding the value of $1 billion. Knowledge of the Middle East environment and rail transportation industry is highly desirable.

You'll need strong communication and presentation skills to help convey technical and operational solutions to both our senior leadership as well as our clients.

A key attribute of this person will be the ability to foster inclusive behaviours to achieve market leading and innovative business outcomes across markets, as well as create the right working environment for employees. You will continue building on our global culture of caring fostering a workplace where we value the safety, positive mental health, inclusion and belonging of all our employees.

A world where you can.

From our inclusive employee networks to our positive mental health champions – we are committed to driving a culture of caring where you can be you. Joining Jacobs not only connects you locally but globally - and together, our diverse perspectives and unique backgrounds power our collective strength. We collaborate and share! By supporting one another, we all succeed.

With safety and flexibility always top of mind, we have gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximise your potential. You will uncover flexible working arrangements, benefits, and opportunities to do good too – from participating in our global giving and volunteering program, to exploring new and inventive ways to help our clients make the world a better place. No matter what drives you, you will discover how you can cultivate, nurture and achieve your goals – all at a single global company.

Start your Jacobs career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed – today and into tomorrow.
