Consultant II, OT Cyber Security

The Cyber Security Consultant II contributes to the implementation, delivery, and support of ABSG industrial cyber security solutions. This role is responsible for understanding field operations business processes, associated automation requirements, and solution options including in-house development/vendor-related, and recommending solutions to address those requirements. In addition to delivery and execution, the consultant may contribute to the development and testing of various security features to meet customer or regulatory cybersecurity requirements.

What You Will Do:

Under the direction of the Cyber Security Manager, Cyber Security Consultant II will:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operational technology or systems supporting an assigned business unit or functional area

  • Responsible for collecting business requirements and developing functional specifications

  • May be responsible for requisitioning hardware/software or tracking assets for the assigned unit

  • Ensure the availability and accuracy of Operational Technology systems per business needs

  • Travel to field sites for troubleshooting and repair activities involving OT systems, as necessary

  • Participate as a team member in significant efforts that involve cross-functional collaboration

  • Track, document, and report on the progress of projects as well as day-to-day activities

  • Participate as a team member in significant efforts that involve cross-functional collaboration

  • Ability to manage multiple high priorities simultaneously

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

  • 4+ years in OT/ICS cyber security, OT/ICS compliance, or OT/ICS audit
  • Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in Automation, Electronics, or Computer Science (IT) or demonstrated equivalent work-related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Have a broad experience in computer and network systems, including IT/OT security, cyber-related regulations, NIST requirements, NERC CIP, IEC 62443, and/or SANS security practices

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems

  • Able to demonstrate proficiency in a wide range of OT security technologies, embedded security, and network platforms

  • Able to demonstrate understating of business principles and operational security practices specific to engineering and/or security consulting

  • Possess excellent presentation skills, including presentation development, numeracy and analysis skills, and advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook

  • Possess excellent English oral and written communication skills; demonstrated capability to produce reports suitable for delivery to both technical and non-technical audiences, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Have the ability to productively work with no supervision with demanding due dates

  • Be willing to travel up to 30%, domestic and international

  • Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems

It Would Be Nice If You Had
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-82, NIST CSF preferred

  • Hands-on technical configuration and implementation of cyber security standards and controls preferred

  • Experience in power and energy, or oil and gas environments, preferred

  • Experience with security engineering principles, various cybersecurity assessment methodologies, security control implementation, and validation, and system life-cycle practices, preferred

Reporting Relationships:

  Reports directly to a manager, director, or executive-level position and doe not have direct reports.
