Job Summary:

This position is responsible for working closely with Measurement Solutions Asia Pacific (AP) country organizations, global business units, and the AP leadership team to identify, analyze, and communicate business opportunities.  An important area of responsibility is to help develop the annual Asia Pacific strategic plan and 3 to 5 year AP growth plan.

Additionally, this role will work with a team of Marketing Analysts to develop and maintain dashboards for product, industry, and price metrics, and obtain business performance insights to help drive revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Leads and conducts the annual strategic planning cycle with AP market sizing, participation, and segmentation analysis.
  • Coordinates and facilitates development and quarterly review of AP Strategic Plan with leadership team.
  • Assists in the preparation for AP business and divisional meetings.
  • Helps manage the strategic planning central database that contains historical and projected business data.  Coordinates and aligns all Measurement Solutions AP data to ensure consistency.
  • Leads market analysis and competitive studies.
  • Regularly researches and studies economic trends and opportunities in each AP country.
  • Conducts analysis for potential acquisition targets or business partnerships.  Manages and updates the acquisition funnel.
  • Acts as single point of contact in responding to all Emerson requests for business data.

Marketing Analytics:

  • Supervises a team of Marketing Analysts and lead the development of management dashboards for price, product, industry, and other key business metrics.
  • Oversees quarterly price analysis across AP countries and product lines.  Supports price analysis process with tools that deliver quantitative metrics and recommendations for improving product line pricing strategies.  Searches, identifies, and implements price improvement opportunities.
  • Conducts monthly updates for product and industry dashboards.  Works to continuously improve these dashboards and identify opportunities for enhancements.
  • Analyzes win/loss reports and make recommendations on discount efficacy to Sales Management.
  • Supports marketing planning and product development decision making with detailed analyses of market opportunities and financial analytics.
  • Develops ad hoc analyses for critical business issues that impact program/product performance and translate the analyses into actionable recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Degree in Technical or Business discipline is preferred; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
  • With 4 years of relevant post-graduate work experience.  Years of experience can include time spent in full-time graduate degree program.
  • Strong analytical background is required.
  • Experience with people management is a plus.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence software such as Tableau or Domo or Power BI is a plus.
  • Process and control instrumentation experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.
