Cost Engineer
Cost Engineer - Contract - Denmark, Esbjerg

Service duration : up to June 2024 (Extension according to Project Agenda)
Activities:
Scopes will include, but not limited to supporting the Commissioning Team through offshore campaigns, Owners costs, updating manpower costs and associated commitments, supporting the Pre-Operations team with their forecasts. Also supporting the T&I / Decommissioning team with close-out activities post installation and removal campaigns. The role will also be involved in the wider cost activities in the monthly cycle on the project, supporting the Lead Cost Engineer with reporting outputs.
Monthly Cycle
Working with the Delivery Teams to maintain a phased forecast profile based on Value of Work Done (VOWD), using Contractor monthly reports where available.
Delivering input to monthly accruals, at Service Order level from the monthly phasing/ review meetings.
Help with the development of a Cost Monthly Report with Cost Summaries, Phasing profiles, Quarterly and Yearly performance with variance analysis. Maintain the detailed Pre-Operations and Commissioning reports that give full visibility on their scopes and allow Delivery managers to be fully informed of cost status.
Delivering forecasts to the Business finance analyst in accordance with requirements to the meet the financial operating rhythm. Follow the cost calendar to ensure Delivery Team alignment.
Assessing cost impacts for changes raised in the MOC system and linkage into Change Orders for main scopes.
Tracking project staffing levels and update cost forecast, accordingly, working closely with C&P team.
Rigorously maintain Change Control visibility ensuring approved, pending, and potential changes are included in PIMS. Coordinating with the Contracts and Procurement team to assess the cost impact of all changes. Support development of processes to improve understanding, workflows, and responsibilities.
Ensure all completed Contracts, Purchase orders and Service orders are closed on full completion, in SAP and also recorded in PIMS, supporting Project Assistants with relevant cost information.
Respond to requests for ad hoc data, data analysis, and presentation materials.
Quarterly / 6 Monthly / Yearly
Support the cost update for any re-baseline activities including final documentation.
Maintaining the basis of estimate document after detailed reviews.
Other Activities
Get fully up to speed with Total procedures and processes, understand any gaps or changes that impact the Cost Function
Supporting annual cost risk analysis exercise and use conclusion to provide input to assess remaining project contingency requirements
Qualifications/Experience required:
Minimum 5 years' experience of oil and gas industry including finance / cost engineering experience within oil and gas projects.
Economic, engineering, or other relevant educational background
Strong commitment to HSE.
Experience performing in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to integrate people, systems, and expertise
Expertise with professional cost engineering tools and techniques
