Shall have full authority to make decisions on the status of finished product, subassemblies, raw material and manufacturing processes. Shall have the authority to stop the manufacturing process when it does not meet specifications or does not meet requirements according to policies, procedures and specifications.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for
Develop quality planning.
Shall, on a daily basis, perform the quality planning of processes and products using as reference the production program of his/her area.
Shall ensure that the critical characteristics of the operations are in control and ensure through quality planning its validation.
Shall design the inspection and validation of the process and establish the systems that guarantee its correct application.
Approve the first pieces of new products and their respective process approval documentation, as well as report performance and risks to ensure that the projects are successfully launched and that the products are manufactured in the long term under the company's productivity and quality standards.
Maintain and improve quality control.
Will be responsible for supervising the activities of the quality inspectors in their assigned areas.
Shall update the control plans of their areas in periods not exceeding four months and ensure that the changes are fully adapted to the quality management system.
Promote the use of statistical process control to identify trends and apply preventive and continuous improvement actions.
Shall establish quality mechanisms and/or tools to evaluate process capability and generate plans to improve process performance.
Determine the disposition of non-conforming products based on the current procedure.
Establish the monitoring of the results of quality indicators of their areas.
Report to the quality, engineering and production managers the results of the area quality indicators, action plans and trends on a monthly basis during the first week of the month.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Six Sigma, 5'S, Poka Yoke, Lean Manufacturing, Process Problem Solving.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT: Spoken and written English.
