Execute test and commissioning activities on field in support to Atlanta switch refurbishing and West Turnback project.


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

§Execute testing activities:

o in support to one or several Projects on railway signalling systems under the direction of his / her hierarchy
o according to the testing procedure / documentation and following Subsystem T&C Engineer a/o Leader instructions

§Ensure defects identification and correction (trouble shooting) 
§Check that the test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated.
§Replace defective equipment and ensure its repair in accordance with the procedures in force
§In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return experience (REX) towards the project, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context
§Deliver the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Deadlines and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)

Performance Measurement
§Efficiency and proactivity during the execution of the T&C tests
§Compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards
§Quality of anticipation, monitoring and reporting 

Specific for this project:

  • Supervise and support the EI (Electrical Installer) when executing all the activities forecasted at the cutover plan to upgrade and refurbish switches.
  • Record all the night shifts findings in report at the end of the shift with pictures and sugestions of improvements.
  • Keep documentation updated and available for the project.
  • Execute site surveys and review field procedures for installation and tests.
  • keep track of tools and equipment provided to him execute his/her activities.

 
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
 

Educational Requirements 
Mandatory: 
§    Technical bachelor's degree in electronics or electricity or equivalent experience in a function in the industrial environment 
    Desirable:
§    Any additional language is an asset

  • Knowledge of track switches in guideways for APM (Automated People Movers) would be a plus.
  • Knowlege of minimum electrical circuits requirements to troubleshoot connections and failures.
  • knowledge of the basic rules of signaling ATC protection. 

Experience 
§    Previous T&C or Maintenance experience for Railway Signaling is an asset.

§    Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countries 
§    Available to work on field also for night shifts 
§    Rigorous & team player
§    Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve subsystem failures
§    Customer satisfaction and results orientated
§    Able to communicate in an open and clear manner to the T&C team
§    Ability to use new technologies and tools is an asset
§    Valid Driver's license
