Purpose

The Networks Transformation Manager will support the delivery of transformation projects and drive major business transformation and process change (both cultural and technical) across the Networks organization. Will lead the delivery of strategic transformation projects, advise other managers on the most appropriate methodology and work closely with managers and directors to shape and guarantee projects delivery.

This role will support staff in moving to new ways of working based on cultural and behavioral changes and adopting Global Standards in order to deliver results to the Network Business. Networks Transformation Manager will work effectively across a diverse range of areas spanning multiple business units, such as Electric and Gas, Operations and Projects, General services, Processes and Technology, Customer Services, Planning and Regulation to enable effective change and realization of projected benefits. This position can be based in Orange, CT or Rochester, NY, with occasional travel to all locations.



Responsibilities

•    Accountable for the end to end delivery of key project(s) across Networks Business from initiation to close, ensuring that the project’s delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and with expected results.
•    Lead the project team, comprising of business change and wider business resources to successfully deliver change
•    Own project stakeholder relationships and engage the business more broadly with project communications and change interventions to ensure that the project lands successfully
•    Manage the scope definition and delivery of business case in collaboration with other Businesses
•    Manage Project’s risks and impacts
•    Manage process analysis, awareness of cross-organizational interdependencies and insight into external models and on developments in the Iberdrola’s companies.
•    Manage project challenges to deliver the expected outcomes
•    Manage dependencies and interfaces between ongoing projects
•    Manage, plan and monitor project’s overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate
•    Manage all contributions to the projects
•    Work with the Business’ Managers on the transition to the 'new' business as usual position
•    Manage interventions wherever gaps in the project are identified, or issues arise
•    Report progress of the project at regular intervals to the Vice President/Networks Transformation and Avangrid’s Management Committee.
•    Manage project’s approval through Avangrid’s governance
•    Facilitate/Negotiate the appointment of individuals to project teams
•    Propose and follow up efficient initiatives
•    Establish the short, medium- and long-term strategies, aligning
•    the actions of the area with the Company's strategic planning and legislation, ensuring the maximization of results in the Company's strategic value chain, enabling improvements in the quality of resources generated by the area and deepening the commercial and financial scope of the contracts signed.
•    Ensure the Digital Transformation of the organization
•    Encourage and promote improvements in technological innovation and processes
•    Create and distribute cost management reports to Networks Business Analysis
•    Quarterly forecast revisions and monthly reporting



Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

•    BS/BA Degree in Electrical, Power Systems, or Production/Process Engineering, plus 5-7 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    Experience in project management and turnaround/efficiency/transformation projects implementation
•    Experience in continuous improvement methodology and leadership programs
•    Experience in managing relevant projects or initiatives
•    Participation in global initiatives
•    Experience in financial analysis and formulation of business cases
•    Experience in budget control and reports
•    Experience with Internalization/Right-sizing/Workforce balance
•    Stakeholder management skills
•    Analytical, flexible and persuasive influencing skills
•    Strong interpersonal ability
•    Motivation and proactiveness in delivering organizational and technical change
•    Ability to build effective relationships and drive high impact, lasting change across the organization
•    Experience in leading teams
•    Problem-solver and Multi-task ability
•    Strong knowledge of aspects of the following business functional areas:  Electric/Gas Operations, Projects, Customer Services and Processes and Technology
•    Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Experience:
•    Experience working in a global organization balancing collaboration and coordination between global and local initiatives, best practices and recommendations.
