The group is responsible for leading the Simcenter strategy in our focus industries. The Industries team is made up of a lead for each industry, and industry consultants. The industry lead roles are responsible for the overall Simcenter strategy in each industry. The industry consultants enable focus on key areas, skills or sub-industries, for example there are industry consultants for turbomachinery, vehicle electrification and nuclear energy. This role will focus on the Energy transition, which includes renewables (eg wind and solar), energy efficiency, new energy sources, energy storage and transmission (the electric grid). This dynamic area will require close tracking of market dynamics (regulations, incentives, new technologies) and the ability to set clear and coherent direction (where should we focus?) Your responsabilities Define and support the execution of a coherent Simcenter strategy for energy transition; Communicate and align this strategy across STS (Simcenter product and solution domain teams); Communicate and align this strategy with the broader DI SW organization. Support go-to market by developing and driving sales & marketing campaigns, including: identifying target markets and companies; crafting a compelling message; building (and guiding others to build) sales and marketing collateral; and, enabling field (sales & portfolio development) teams. Guide solution strategy by articulating industry requirements as an input to leadership and product teams (input to product roadmaps, partner and M&A activities); Collaborating with other members of the Simcenter Industries team; Working with strategic customers and particularly positioning Siemens in higher management engagements as digitalization partner. Within this context Responsibilities specific for the role are: Provide support to the Energy Industry lead in defining and executing Simcenter Energy strategy; Understand, document and communicate key target Application areas for Simcenter and broader Siemens solutions; Identify, define, prioritize and communicate software solution requirements (gaps) and associated business processes; Work with marketing and sales leaders to define and communicate software solution business value to external audiences; Create and/or direct others to create application-specific solution presentations & demonstrations; Support field enablement on Industry trends, energy specific trends, processes and solutions; Support account sales teams, including Partners in selling Industry solutions to key customers globally; Lead and manage industry and cross industry projects to define solutions and create solution materials. Required knowledge/skills, education and experience 5+ years working in the Energy industry with detailed knowledge of Performance engineering (simulation & test) team or activities; Detail knowledge of the use of Siemens tools/applications within the energy industry through practical experience, particularly outside of 3D CFD. Excellent interpersonal and communication (English language) skills; ability to communicate with people at various levels of management and technical backgrounds; A self-starter able to work in a globally distributed organization and across cultures; Ability to work in an open, collaborative team, with a focus on excellence; Demonstrate business or project planning and execution experience (able to develop and drive long term business or project plans); Ability and willingness to travel globally up to 40% (when it is safe to do so). Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience MBA; Experience in consulting, product management, business development or sales; Experience with the Challenger sales approach.
