Reporting to the Exploration General Supervisor, the Senior Exploration Geologist is part of the Exploration Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. He/she will contribute to the overall exploration of the Site, that will focus on database management and validation, 3D modeling, targeting and geoscientific interpretation using current software.

  • Accurately interpret drill hole data, drill core photographs, and generate 3D models;

  • Propose exploration programs during the budgeting process;

  • Contribute to the planning of the exploration programs and target generation;

  • Assist in preparation and presentation of annual exploration reviews and proposals;

  • Collaborate with geological and technical colleagues to ensure consistency;

  • Keep databases up to date for surface exploration and diamond drilling data;

  • Contribute to the overall geological knowledge of the property;

  • Commit to a high safety standard.


  • Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering;

  • Have a minimum of ten (10) cumulative years of relevant experience in surface and/or underground mineral exploration, database management, 3D geological modeling and targeting;

  • Must be a member of a Professional Association in a Canadian province or Territory;

  • Strong background and knowledge of gold-related metallogeny, structural geology, geochemistry, and geophysics;

  • Strong knowledge of Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Datamine, DHLogger /Fusion, and MSOffice software;

  • Strong computer and data management skills;

  • Ability to work independently and with a team; meet tight deadlines and deliver a quality product;

  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and in the Canadian Arctic are an asset;

  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken;

  • Strong commitment to health & safety;

  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written). Selected candidates must attain a passing mark on the SPEEXX English language assessment.

  • FIFO Chartered Flight, Accommodations and meals provided.

  • 14X14 Rotation (12 hour days)
