  • Play a lead role in the improvement of the Asset Management System using best practice engineering and the development and application of processes and tools
  • Lead and develop members of the Civil Assets – Dam Safety Team

About You:

With significant experience as a Civil/Dams Engineer, you are currently either a principal/senior engineer or technical specialist ready to take that next leap in your career.

You hold significant experience in developing and implementing dam safety related regulatory strategies, with extensive knowledge of asset management principles and practices and exposure to emergency management.

Alongside highly developed technical and risk management/mitigation skills, you also possess proven experience in engaging with stakeholders (internal and external) to understand their needs, address issues and ensure objectives are understood and met.

About the role:

Working alongside our Civil Portfolio Manager and Principal Dam Engineer in our Hobart office, you will lead, deliver,  direct and report on the dam safety management program in a manner that meets or exceeds corporate objectives and targets.  You will also lead a committed team managing short and long term dam safety risk in accordance with industry best practice, current guidelines and Tasmanian Dam Safety Legislation.

This is a key people and technical leadership role that requires significant technical competence and knowledge; excellent relationship building skills to build trust at all levels of the business, working collaboratively and influencing culture and decision making.
