The operator is responsible for operating the lamination punch press according to work instructions. The operator must be able to make machine adjustments and set-ups necessary to produce parts within required standards and quality specifications. The operator is responsible for loading slit steel onto de-reeler and feed through the straightener and into the machine. The operator will program the Press through a panel of controls (PLC) and ensure that all parts are within the set tolerances and within quality specifications.

The operator is responsible for operating an anneal oven according to work instructions. The operator must be able to set-up the oven, regulate controls, temperature, gas, etc, in order to produce good parts according to quality standards. The operator must maintain a log of parts sent through the oven. Check work as required by work/quality instructions.

The operator is responsible for setting up and operating a press equipped with slitting dies. The operator is responsible for loading a roll of steel onto the slitter using an overhead crane. The operator will operate the crane using a hand control and picking up and moving a roll of steel. The steel is placed onto the Scroll line and the steel if fed into the slitter where it is slit according to work and quality instructions. The operator removes the rolls of slit steel using the overhead crane and stages them for the lamination press operators.
