Responsibilities: The BOP Program Manager is responsible for planning and coordination of all Service needs relative to BOP maintenance scope at wind power plants with Service and Maintenance Agreements with Vestas across North America. Ensures that contractual scopes are accurate, and execution can be accomplished in a safe and cost-efficient manner. Works collaboratively with numerous internal and external stakeholders to adapt sales scope to changing market trends and requirements. Ensures that documentation, training, and 3rd party contractual agreements are created, approved and adopted by Vestas personnel. Supervises and clearly communicates the schedule and mitigation plans for numerous simultaneous projects.

  • Overall management of the Service BOP Program for Vestas Americas.
  • Market Analysis to assess customer need and business case for potential additions to BOP Service Sales offering. May include on-site, remote, security, monitoring, regulatory, or other services.
  • Contractual, pricing, and negotiation support to VAME Sales on BOP scope in Service & Maintenance agreements. Preparation review and presentation of customer sales material.
  • Periodic structured training of Sales, Operations, and Support personnel on offerings, risks, benefits.
  • Coordination and engagement with technical subject matter experts such as substation engineers & technicians, SCADA Engineers & technicians, Remote Operation center operators, NERC experts or authorities, 3rd party consultants or service providers, safety & training professionals.
  • With support of subject matter experts; define, create, maintain, and develop training materials and implementation program to ensure that all involved employees are capable of safely and efficiently performing the work they are expected to perform.
  • Handles working, contractual, and financial relationship with 3rd party contractors performing sub-sets of the maintenance scope.
  • Maintains an accurate cost profile (pre-calc) for the various elements offered within the BOP scope.
  • Standardizes contractual and execution documentation to improve consistency, repeatability, and continuous improvement of safety and cost.
  • Communicates regularly and effectively with management regarding the progress, goals and mitigation plans of the program in relation to the business goals for safety, revenue generation, and cost out.
  • Coordinates with Group Service in Denmark and other Sales Business Units (SBUs) around the world to share best practices, lessons learned, and identify opportunities for improved safety, cost, or revenue generation.
  • Works effectively to identify & improve the safety, cost, and revenue generation of Vestas' BOP offering.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in construction, operations, or engineering of utility/power generation plants or related industries.
  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited university. Technical or Engineering preference.
  • PMP or extensive Project Management experience working with a portfolio of numerous simultaneous projects.
  • Familiarity with NERC, FERC and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to recognize standards associated with NFPA 70A & NFPA 70B
  • Commitment to safety, customer service, quality, and continuous improvement in processes and knowledge sharing.
  • High-quality written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Extremely organized and accountable.
  • Solid commercial experience with customers. Business development aptitude/interest.
  • Solid teamwork, coordination, resourcefulness, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary and 3rd party teams.
  • Demonstrated flexibility working in a innovative and agile organization.
  • Solid computer skills, specifically MS office products.
  • Established background in IEEE, NETA, ATS / MTS preference.

Additional information: This position is in Portland, Oregon or Remote. Expected travel is 20%.
