3rd Line Support Engineer - Service Desk

Job Title: 3rd Line Service Desk Engineer

Location: Gloucestershire

3rd Line Support | Service Desk | Helpdesk | Windows 10 | MS Office Products | PowerShell | O365 | AD

I am currently recruiting for a 3rd line service desk engineer to work within a strong and established IT support team to ensure the smooth running user machines and systems as well as working on a projects basis through to customers (based in Gloucester) in a managed service capacity. This role will encompass 3rd line support of hardware and software issues, as well as mentoring the more junior members.

In this role you will deal with ticketed issues as required as well as acting as the technical escalation point. The purpose of this role is to increase efficiency and productivity of the end users (internal staff and customers) whilst training and developing 1st and 2nd line engineers in line with the company direction.

Experience;

  • Strong service desk experience
  • Good experience within a 3rd line support capacity
  • Strong operational knowledge of O365 and Server Support (Windows Servers)
  • Solid troubleshooting skills
  • Good Active Directory knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of virtualisation technologies - Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Desirables;

  • Azure Experience
  • Networking knowledge (routing and switching)
  • Firewall administration experience
