Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Service & Systems Division is currently seeking a Senior Field Service Representative to join our team. This position can be based in Boothwyn, PA, and Harrisburg, PA facility. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the listed facility will be considered. The Senior Field Service Representative is responsible for providing field service support and consultation such as acceptance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low, medium, and high voltage systems; advising customers and providing the best technical solution to solve the customer issue; completing assigned jobs with assistance from lead technicians and engineers; conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment; check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Essential Functions: Provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in installing, testing, startup, maintenance, repair, training, and modification of electrical power distribution equipment. Self-manage assigned projects for electrical equipment; knowledge of electrical test and diagnostic equipment Deliver technical solutions to customers Performs less conventional complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations Skilled proficiency in the following: Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Test Equipment Operation Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Troubleshooting Techniques Basic / Intermediate Protective Relays Basic / Intermediate PQ Measurements Disaster Recovery Rotating Machinery Protection & Control Design. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma from an accredited institution with a minimum of three (3) years of field service experience OR Military experience OR Associate degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius from the listed locations will be considered. Active Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems is desirable. Experience testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems. Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis. Experience with protective relays. Experience with low and medium-voltage drives. Position Criteria: Power distribution field experience in servicing, maintaining, and testing electrical power distribution equipment. Working knowledge of troubleshooting, tests, and repair techniques. Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication skills. Particular skill in communicating technical information to non-technical personnel, educating customers, and presenting information to internal and external customers. Advanced understanding of the company's competitor's electrical, electronic and mechanical products and services. Knowledge of corporate and business unit policies. Working knowledge of all software packages relevant to the successful performance of tasks. Working knowledge of billing and invoicing policies for service. Knowledge of parts, part masters, and bill of materials. Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment. Has demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction. Submit to the periodic customer-required background and drug screenings. Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
