Responsible for directing, planning, and organizing a major enguineering segment or staff group of the Company. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES 1. Provide technical/administrative leadership, and frequently serve as the final authority in field of DOE waste operations 2. Plan and control resource requirement and allocate and control resource utilization for area of responsibility. 3. Recommend, review, and approve policies and procedures for group and/or company-wide application. 4. May serve as advisor on projects and programs; serve as member of the Executive Council. 5. Serve as an official company representative to clients. C. NATURE OF POSITION CHALLENGES Provide professional and technically sound programs that accomplish work objectives, satisfy the client’s requirements, and fall within overall constraints for resources. D. SUPERVISORY GUIDANCE Administrative only. II. SCOPE OF POSITION A. SUPERVISION OF OTHERS (DIRECT AND INDIRECT) Direct the working efforts of a major operating segment of Jacobs Technology Inc., its managers, and their staffs (indirectly). Also, direct the objectives of group’s projects and programs. May direct the working efforts of a major corporate staff function. RESOURCES IMPACTED Directly impacts the personnel, material, and equipment resources, as well as the company image to the client. III.
Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
20 years of related experience
Requires demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by prior engineering management ex[erience.
Must be able to effectively communicate with others.
Experience with waste and fuels management at nuclear facilities
