STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – CONTRACT – SURREY

Our Client, a Major international Oil and Gas, design and construction contractor is seeking a Structural Engineer to work with the existing team based in Surrey .

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

- BEng, M.Eng, or M.Sc in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar. Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.

- Relevant offshore energy industry experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality Structural Engineering.

- Ability to apply engineering principals to solve challenging problems and to work effectively within a small team.

Software - - SACS, - STAAD, - ANSYS, - GT STRUDL

JOB SCOPE

Our Client is currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the existing team.  The work will predominantly be based on the design of offshore O&G jackets based in the Middle East.

Mission

- To Perform and be Responsible for structural analysis tasks by means of modelling in company standard structural analysis software (Primarily in SACS as well as in STAAD and GT-STRUDL).

- Ideally to have relevant analytical experience in other relevant offshore structural engineering analysis software ANSYS used for detailed stress analysis of offshore structures.

- Perform detailed design calculations in accordance with Client’s current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).

- Review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design.

- Prepare high quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures

- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Client’s policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with Client specific procedures.

RATE:                          Please quote what hourly Limited Company rate you would be looking for.
