THE COMPANY

Im extremely excited to be representing a global organisation that manufactures and supply motor-driven water pumps. My client was first established 40 years ago and is now turning over £320million with 1600 employees across the globe. With a global presence and a fine reputation for quality products, this business continues to grow. Due to increased customer demand the business is looking to expand the sales team by adding a further two Area Sales Managers to the team.

THE ROLE

As an Area Sales Manager your role will be as follows:

  • Covering the Southeast, west Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, London
  • Selling through distributors, both independent and national.
  • Your main focus will be on the commercial building service sector, as well as business within water and wastewater.
  • Spending 4 days out of the 5 conducting customer visits.
  • Building relationships with the distribution network, ensuring that they are able to sell and recommend your products, as well as providing technical support and training.
  • Getting face to face with specifiers to promote your product as the best on the market.
  • Targeting companies in the southeast area that you can generate new business and build relationships with.
  • Analysing key accounts, you need to spend most of your time and focus with.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Area Sales Manager will have

  • A track record in sales within a manufacturing company
  • Ideally experience of selling through distributors
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong account development skills
