Purpose:


Worley is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to work withthe US Shared Services payroll teams for the full payroll cycle by analyzing,verifying and preparing data for payroll, timesheets, general ledgerinformation and interfaces between systems. The ideal candidate will have asuccessful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast-paced environment.


 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Processing domestic payroll utilizing the ADPGlobalView (SAP platform).

  • Ensure quality controls in thepayroll process and update documentation- including reconciliation of results andaudit checks

  • Verify, as needed, employee taxes and allowances are set up and paying accurately. 
  • Verify monthly recording of taxable non-payroll compensation reimbursedthrough expense reports for compliance

  • Calculate prorated allowances and advise clients for required paperwork
  • Act as day-to-day liaison forpayroll-related processing.

  • Respond to client inquiries andtake appropriate action ensuring timely review and resolution of issues.  Including gross to net pay calculations.

  • Work effectively across ADPbusiness groups to resolve client issues.

  • Highlight and escalate relevantmatters that may impact the running of payrolls

  • Work with ADP to assure accurateW-2 and W-2C reporting. Conduct timely and accurate processing of cyclicalevents including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities; Balance payand tax data for QTR and YE.  Including systemadjustments as needed.

  • Prepare tax calculations andentries for shares vesting

  • Participate in testing andvalidation as required for product updates, configuration changes, and cyclicalprocessing events (such as year-end).

  • Assist implementation duringtesting phases/parallel processing/UAT

  • Maintain up to date knowledge andexpertise of statutory legislation and ADP systems

  • Manage employee and system issuesin CRM system and work with client and internal partners to classify,prioritize and follow-up

  • Provide advice, mentoring supportand guidance to clients on payroll processes and changes

  • Analyze and resolve complex issuesencountered within the team and/or client; Demonstrate strong analytical anderror resolution skills for complex payroll environments

  • Identify, recommend and implementprocess improvement methodologies that strengthen service delivery andstatutory compliance




What youwill bring




Required Technical and Industry Experience: 
  • High School diploma 
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)certification is preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience in multi-state payrolls required. Strong knowledge of local taxes.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail important. Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.
  • SAP certification or equivalent SAP work experience
  • Payroll industry, process, and USA Payroll specific knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to use ADP systems and processes accurately and consistently; 'SAP' HR/Payroll expertise
  • Customer Service Skills, Client focus, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, written, listening and verbal, in English
  • Troubleshooting/problem resolution skills
  • Team oriented/Team Player
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to routinely make decisions that involve some independent judgment to determine a course of action with established functional policies and goals covered only by general procedures.
  • Experience communicating with department staff, middle management, and outside customers by phone, email and letter.
