Position: Sales & Marketing Manager – Polyether Polyols

Reporting Structure: CEO America’s / GM Global Sales

Work environment: OFFICE & TRAVEL

Location: HOUSTON OFFICE

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of sales at accounts related to the Polyether Polyol Market in the US and succeed in creating new sales by using project management tools, portfolio and knowledge on polyurthanes business (value chain, market, competition and structures) for prospecting, creation of new sales and maintenance and optimization of existing accounts

KEY INTERFACES

  • Employees, America’s CEO, GM Global Sales in China, Marketing GM’s in China and other regional sales managers in USA and beyond
  • Multi-level contact at potential clients and existing clients, (upper management, purchase, technical)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Full understanding of the Polyurethanes market in the US and positioning this company in this market
  • Development of market strategies in association with Global Marketing GM’s
  • Development of presentations of products and solutions, especially in the areas that use polyether polyols
  • When needed, in addition to Polyether Polyols be able to sell other products in Cement modification and Surfactant customers
  • Frequent visits to customers – weekly agenda and monthly call plans
  • Development of strong multi-level relationships with all key accounts
  • Negotiating yearly sales / margin budget with Global Sales GM and America’s CEO
  • Putting together plans and executing the plans to achieve the yearly sales / margin budget
  • Communicating globally on key customers and market trends
  • Use of account planning methodology and use of SalesForce system

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or other technical degree
  • MBA preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • More than 5 years experience in the polyurethane sales
  • Good understanding of polyurethane chemistry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications, SalesForce and SAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Multicultural work environment experience a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
