Maintenance Manager in Malta

One of TTI Client's is seeking for a Maintenance Manager .

The Maintenance Manager is part of the Management Team and reports to the Plant Manager.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of a Power Plant and the management of the off-site Warehouse and the on-site Stores and Workshop.

Functions:

  • Manage the plant maintenance functions: Mechanical, Electrical and Control & Instrumentation.
  • Planning of maintenance activities including Overhauls, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance programs
  • Budget development and management for maintenance function feeding into overall Plant Budget.
  • Execute condition monitoring, planned maintenance & corrective maintenance.
  • Manage the maintenance team, including recruitment, training and performance monitoring.
  • Manage maintenance contracts, including tendering, service agreements and control of contractors.
  • Manage the Warehouse and Stores activities including inventory controls.
  • As part of the Management Team, contribute to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management to international standards.
  • Manage projects as required.
  • Support procurement of spare parts and services in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • An engineering degree and several years management experience would be required.
  • Knowledge of modern maintenance techniques is essential.
  • Experience in Contract development and management
  • Understanding of Inventory Management and procurement processes
  • Understanding of Work Management Systems
  • A good command of written and spoken English language would be essential.
  • The successful candidate will be highly motivated and a good manager of people. He/she must be able to apply technical knowledge and achieve results.

  • A key member of the Management Team reporting to the Plant Manager. The Maintenance Team Leaders report to the Maintenance Manager
  • A 40 hours working week applies. Additional working hours would be required from time to time. No additional payment would be made for overtime.
  • A training & development plan shall be used to ensure that adequate training is provided. There may be a need to attend training courses within Malta and overseas.
