Brief Posting Description
We are currently sourcing a (Offshore Weight Control Engineer (expression of interest) ) to join our team in (Katy).

Key responsibilities of the position:
Responsible for using weight benchmarks and known project data to create an initial weight estimate with appropriate allowances.
Responsible for multi-discipline interfaces to ensure that each disciplines weight estimates are current and are in line with historical benchmarks.
Responsible for working under the structural engineering lead and producing monthly weight reports to the client on schedule.
Potentially follow the project through the fabrication stage and attend any weighings or inclining tests.
Contribute to the continuous development of weight benchmark data.
Attend project meetings and interact with the client as the weight control representative for WG Mustang.
The successful applicant will have a proactive customer focus, in addition to the following:
Must have 5+ years experience in offshore weight control / weight management. Experience with attending fabrication site final weighing and inclination testing is a plus. Experience with fixed platform topsides is a plus.
Must have demonstrated working knowledge of using weight benchmarks to estimate facility weights. Must have ability to view/read in 3D modeling software such as PDMS. Must be experience working in large database programs such as MS Access.
Intermediate/ advanced level skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
Internal drive, initiative and proactive nature.
