Jacobs is currently seeking a Sr. .Net Developer to provide on-site support in Reston VA or Washington DC. Duties will include:
•Work on Jacobs TITAN solution with Federal Student Aid (FSA) Security Operations Center (SOC) on threat monitoring and cyber security research capability •Act as a key resource in designing, configuring, developing, and implementing enhancements and production fixes to new and existing systems•Analyze software code and debug based on findings from test team and end users•Develop new systems (design, configure, develop and implement) as the opportunity arises•Provide time estimates for development of new features•Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support and resolve production defects and issues•Utilize development best practices and appropriate patterns to develop software solutions•Use the following to develop applications WPF, MVVM and C# and/or ASP.NET, MVC and WCF•Design and develop high performance data access layer using ADO.NET and/or Entity Framework•Create SQL Server views, stored procedures, and queries•Actively mitigate potential security gaps including SQL-injection, Cross Site scripting, Cross Site Request Forgery, etc.•Create technical documentation•Potential for occasional teleworking once fully assimilated

•US Citizen Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance•BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related scientific or engineering discipline and five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications•5-10 years of professional software development experience•3-6 years of experience designing, and developing solutions using ASP.NET, MVC and WCF•3-6 years of experience developing applications using WPF, MVVM pattern and C#•Experience building high performance web-based user interfaces using Ajax, HTML 5, CSS and other technologies•Experience developing applications that implements workflows•Ability to act as a projects technical lead/lead developer as needed•Ability to automate testing of .NET and C# code using a Unit Test Framework•3-5 years of experience developing SQL Server queries, views and stored procedures with performance optimization•Ability to identify application hot spots and mitigate performance issues•Understanding of multi-threading environment and concurrency related issues in applications•Strong problem solving and analytical skills•Clearly communicate and share solutions and information with fellow team members Experience with root cause analysis and defect resolution in a production environmentAbility to create technical documentation such as design guides, deployment plans/guides, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:•Experience designing and working with n-tier architectures•Experience building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices•Experience with Agile development methodology•Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)•Experience with SDLC phases•Motivated and able to work proficiently in a team environment and independently•Strong communication skills with internal team members and business stakeholders•Strong initiative for solution, system and process improvements•Ability to adapt quickly to an existing complex environment•Prior experience supporting a government agency•Experience with the following systems: SharePoint, IIS, Visual Basic 6.0, VBA, Web API, Angular JS, Silverlight, ATO/FedRamp Process, 508 ComplianceEssential Functions:
Physical Requirements:Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
Work Environment:General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.  Multiple tasks & duties will need to be accomplished without any single duty falling behind or becoming neglected. Must effectively communicate and be communicated with by other team members.  Must be able to represent and speak to current group efforts at any given time.
Equipment & Machines:General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday.  However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
