The Role

The Content Deployment Lead role will be a critical player to ensure on-going optimisation of the efficiency and effectiveness of our content deployment as well as drive and oversee content governance. The role is pivotal in managing the Portal content run activities and driving the CI/project activities. The role also includes the liaison with central and country stakeholders as well as flagging key content dependencies on dependent programmes / projects.
The Content Deployment Lead role will work alongside the Content Consulting & Engagement Lead and the content team. The Content Deployment Lead will oversee the activities of the content deployment team, successfully driving the execution of cleanse, deployment and migration activities.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Overall management and oversight of content deployment to the HR Portal
  • Planning and delivery of My HR content to global and country stakeholders
  • Development of the content deployment strategy, working closely with Content Consulting & Engagement Lead
  • Input into the content management strategy and content governance strategy, together with driving continuous improvement (CI) initiatives in this space
  • Development and management of the content migration and repurposing plan for relevant projects, including:
    • Sourcing of resources
    • Identification of costs
    • Alignment with impacted audiences
  • Ensure that content migration, validation, repurposing and publishing processes are well defined and adhered to
  • Identify and manage the dependencies that exist between the product and content workstreams. Ensure that the plan reflects these dependencies and that were conflicts occur that they are swiftly resolved
  • Ensure appropriate recording, management, resolution and escalation of risks & issues together with appropriate communication to respective parties
  • Identify the key stakeholders from BP that the deployment needs to engage with
  • Develop and maintain the relationship with key stakeholders within HR and various BP segments
  • Drive engagement and effective working relationship with the wider community involved in the content landscape
  • Ensure that the content governance, in collaboration with the stakeholders and advisory groups, is updated to ensure that it is current and continues to remain fit for purpose
  • Act as a change specialist and drive the change management activities
  • Collaborate with the communication teams to ensure that key stakeholders are briefed accordingly
  • Task management of direct subordinates, including the management of 3rd party content resources
  • Coordination of the training for the various audiences involved in the content governance
  • Engaging with relevant impacted audiences to ensure that key messages and initiatives are socialised with them at the right time and impacts/actions are understood

Essential experience and job requirements

Knowledge, experience & expertise

  • Experience of delivery of intra/internet Portals, with a significant volume of content
  • Experience of working in a content deployment capacity, overseeing global / large scale content transition and repurposing activities
  • Experience of advisory across content area, together with content strategy and governance best practices
  • Experience of change projects including elements of business process re-engineering
  • Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks with high energy
  • Ability to identify challenges and address them within a pre-defined framework
  • Strong, confident verbal communication skills. The role would be expected to manage stakeholders up to and including senior management levels.
  • Strong written communication skills with accuracy and attention to detail. Expected to write clear and well-presented documentation and presentations
  • Strong facilitation skills. Must be able to elicit requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent project planning, management and coordination skills, being able to manage several activities simultaneously, including developing, maintaining and driving a complex project plan
