Senior Offshore Grout Installation Engineer

My client is looking for a Senior Offshore Grout Installation Engineer to be based in London.

Purpose
• To provide expert technical support to the I&L Team, working within Scottish Power's EA ONE project office at Blackfriars, London, and occasionally offshore, during the execution of the project, especially focused in the grouting activities.
• To support the preparation of the grouting campaign, including testing of grout lines at the construction yard (by the foundations manufacturer), and the grout installation by the Installation Contractor.
• To provide an experienced view on the grout monitoring systems and equipment as well as providing advice to frequent issues related to subsea grout/cement type materials.
• To support in the execution of the project, supervising the Contractor's activity and providing the required input/feedback. Support to the management tasks related, especially interfaces with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attendance to meetings at the main project offices, Contractor's offices and project sites (ports, vessels, etc.). Attendance to operations offshore, when required.

Specific Responsibilities
• Technical management, from the Client's point of view, of the grouting operations of the Foundations Transport and Installation Contract.
• Expert advice on technical aspects of grout installation activities.
• Analysis and definition of installation sequences, weather limitations, weather down time, etc., for grouting activities, being familiar with the available codes and standards.
• Analyse Transport and Installation Contractor's capabilities, according to the project's installation strategy, defining constraints, risks and mitigation measures.
• Review grout testing procedures for grout lines in the construction yard.
• Involvement in grout campaign port logistics and onshore handling, review and evaluation of transport and installation of grouting equipment.

Required Skills/Competencies.
• Engineering degree, preferably Civil Engineering or discipline linked to Concrete design/works. Master's degree would be positively assessed.
• Demonstrable academic knowledge and industry experience on:
• Mechanics of materials with specialization in Concrete.
• Design and construction of concrete (reinforced concrete) structures.
• Design of concrete mixes.
• Concrete quality control.
• Concrete pumping.
• Concrete pouring.
• Concrete hardening and curing process.
• Cement.
• Aggregates.
• Concrete in maritime environments.
• Experience in grouting operations offshore.
• Experience in Offshore Wind Projects (desirable).
