Batch2 SIMOPS supervisor in Aberdeen, Qatar

Our client a Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Company is looking for a role of Batch 2 SIMOPS Supervisor.

Activities

During Engineering and Construction phases

o Works in close cooperation with the involved Projects packages

o Participates to HAZOP, HAZID, PRs, JRA as required

o Participates to the impact assessment on production of the propose modifications by construction team – especially the tie-ins on existing facilities (piping, electricity, instrumentation)

o studies

o Participates as required to risk assessment prior construction phase to evaluate and mitigate the risk associated to SIMOPS.

o Propose realistic solutions for maximizing the work to be performed by Contractor safely

o Ensures the proper anticipation and facilitation of future SIMOPS activities by

 Following-up the engineering with a focus on shortfalls minimization

 Assist SIMOPS lead for Preparation of a SIMOPS philosophy, strategy when required.

 Assist SIMOPS lead for construction and elaboration of SIMOPS dossier (review of contractor document end validation as per client rules and requirement)

In case of increased activity, he will attend the meeting and share information to Hierarchy

During Offshore phases:

o Ensures HSE is given the highest priority and promotes HSEQ awareness of workforce at all levels through pro-active attitude (site Management tours, HSEQ meetings…)

o Ensures all Company personnel and visitors know, understand and comply with safety regulations on site, and have received adequate HSE training (including SIMOPS induction)

o Monitors work activities, especially potential areas where unsafe acts could occur, and ensures that risks have been properly identified and assessed prior to work execution (Job Safety Analysis).

o Notes and evaluates any employee concern, ensures that potential failures, weaknesses and hazards are immediately reported

o Follows with Projects and ALS Field Operations Teams the tie-in campaigns (Brownfield and Greenfield scope)

o Ensures adequate follow-up (or integration if relevant) of Field Ops Team in pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities (witnessing, coordination of all hydrocarbons related activities like operational tests…) to optimize and facilitate the Commissioning Sequence completion

o Coordinates all activities from the SIMOPS team in collaboration with Projects and ALS Field Operations Teams

o Ensures the proper delivery of SIMOPS dossiers by interfacing adequately with Project team

o Ensures the smooth handover of facilities to ALS Field Operations Team

o Ensures resources adequacy with respect to needs (including competency, training.)

o Ensures a good coordination and communication within his offshore SIMOPS team and promote team working

o Co-ordinates with logistic and planning follow up for SIMOPS personal based offshore

• In general:

o Attends Projects meetings as and when required

o Co-ordinates with other entities and groups and manage the requested reporting and presentations.

o Ensures accurate reporting of his activities within the Company organization

o Ensures promote safety culture within the project and his activities. Lead by exemplarity to have the team members and colleagues adhering and contributing.

o Ensures that safe and ethic working practices are carried out within the activities that he is managing or interfacing with.

o Ensures guarantee the compliance on his activities.

o Ensures work by anticipation

Qualifications Experience required

Engineer with at least 10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas production facilities operations, and especially in a Production supervision or Management position.

• Familiar with Total / CLIENT General Specifications, PRODOM, MANASA and relevant codes and standards.

• Demonstrated capacities in SIMOPS & HSE assistance.

• Technical knowledge of commissioning and start-up activities offshore.

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.

• Good analytical skills.

• Very rrigorous in the job.

• Language: Fluent English.

• Computer literate.

• H2S OPITO and OPITO T-BOSIET trainings.
