Associate Director - United States
Turner & Townsend is recruiting for an Associate Director – Energy, to be based in the The United States of America. As the Associate Director you will contribute to the Strategy, Direction, Leadership and Commercial Success of the Turner & Townsend Energy Business within the USA. The ultimate goal of the Natural Resources Associate Director is to accelerate the growth year on year providing Project Services, Contract Services and Management Consulting within the Oil and Gas sector.
The role and responsibilities will include business planning and targeting, relationship building marketing & business development to secure commissions, recruitment of management and technical Staff relating to delivery, establishing a culture of quality delivery, delivery itself and providing direction and quality management of mega commissions, cross trading and selling of the suite of Turner & Townsend services
Key Account management
Is a principal marketing and business development tool used to maintain and develop existing client relationships to optimise quality of services, business growth and client satisfaction. This involves the use of account plans (or other specified tools & systems e.g. marketing & contacts database) and update of relevant information held in these plans and systems for major clients or mega projects. These may be regional accounts or accounts within global frameworks agreements. The AD is responsible for developing opportunities and growth within the key account, guided by the business plan and 5 year strategy. This position is also responsible for other associated business development activities.
Communicating, liaising, and negotiating internally (globally & nationally) and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of business in The United States with a profitable business and sustainable relationships. Attending and presenting at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
- Support knowledge management initiatives of the global Energy business
- Utilise the internal resources available to research existing and new business.
- Promote and support cross trading and cross selling opportunities
Candidate will have proven experience in either a project controls ( planning, scheduling, estimating etc..) or Cost Management role, whilst also having undertaken some Business Development and or have undertaken some consulting work.
