JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of Finance is to support improved business performance across the business, while maintaining an effective and robust control environment. Reporting into the Finance Process Lead, the Senior Group Recharges Team Leader will act as the finance owner of various recharge activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Group Recharges Team Leader will be responsible for:

Taking full ownership of the Recharge program at site. Ensure service provision is maintained. Provide support and challenge to process including reconciliation of cost pool, business understanding of the pool of costs and whether charges proposed to be made make sense. Co-ordinate multiple recharge cycles including support to the statutory teams ensuring that recharge program is documented and executed according to the requirements set by Statutory, and Tax teams. Drive standardization of Recharge processes. Fully understand and apply Group Accounting Policies and relevant Group & Finance Standards & Practices Synthetize and prioritize the knowledge and highlight key learnings to GBS Project Board. Manage conflicting priorities with business stakeholders and ensure deliveries are met. Ensure milestones for their team are delivered on a timely basis and monitor KPIs. Review recharges work undertaken by Group Recharge Lead Analysts. Ensure liaison with Transfer Pricing Tax Team on agreed principles. Identifying risks / issues and mitigation plan. Coach, mentor and support other team members

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Educated at degree level, preferably with a relevant accounting qualification
    Strong proven analytical and system thinking skills and financial knowledge
  • Highly proficient with Excel. Prior experience with BP financial systems is an advantage. Prior experience with SAP system is an advantage
  • 6-10 years of experience

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Detailed knowledge of the head office/central costs activity set, especially recharges

In the Senior Group Recharges Team Leader role we have the following requirements:
  • 6-10 years' experience in related area,
  • Educated at degree level, preferably with a relevant accounting qualification,
  • Strong proven analytical and system thinking skills and financial knowledge,
  • Highly proficient with Excel,
  • Prior experience with BP financial systems is an advantage,
  • Prior experience with SAP system is an advantage,
  • Detailed knowledge of the head office/central costs activity set, especially recharges,
  • Fluency in English,
  • Good level of analytical skills, numeracy and good financial understanding,
  • Readiness for action and ability to work under pressure,
  • Self confident appearance in relations to the internal contacts,
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills,
