Our Client is a Global operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Rotation Schedule: 28/28
Responsible for the Oil Gathering & Injection Distribution system across the field to include all pipelines, manifolds & control equipment. Ensure that all facilities are maintained in an acceptable manner; develop isolations for maintenance repair & tie-in of new facilities; ensure that full benefit is obtained from planned / unplanned shut-downs with respect to repairs, modifications or tie-ins; act as liaison between Operations & Maintenance / Construction personnel to minimise work clashes & generally look for ways to continually improve the operability & uptime of the surface operations network & any other Operations activities where previous experience indicates improvements can be made.
To ensure that the SCADA system is working at all locations and raising work requests for any repairs necessary.
To ensure (in conjunction with Process/Production Engineers) that computer models used for field monitoring are up to date and accurate.
To ensure that any pressure &/or temperature anomalies identified with the computer models are investigated & communicated to the Process/Production Engineers.
To help identify opportunities to increase production on a daily / monthly basis by adjusting well rates within the limits specified.
To accurately present results of any analytical work to management and prepare any presentations necessary to assist in the justification of any solutions proposed.
To assist in the preparation of detailed procedures for Production standard operations.
To help plan for shut downs and major repair operations.
To maintain and renew when necessary contracts with service providers, as well as to track costs associated with those contracts.
To ensure that any leaks are isolated, depressurized & made safe in a timely fashion.
To co-ordinate with Construction and Maintenance Groups to ensure that all necessary repairs are carried out.
To act as a liaison between Operations, Maintenance & Construction to minimize scheduling conflicts.
To work with Engineering, Maintenance & Construction Groups to ensure that new facilities are fit for purpose and operable.
To propose changes to facilities if safety / operability can be improved.
To mentor the work crews during isolation & depressurizing tasks.
To work with Engineering to ensure that P&IDs, schematics & field maps are kept up to date & regularly re-issued.
To keep records of faults in the field (passing valves, clamped lines, approved modifications, etc) & ensure that all opportunities are taken to implement change with maximum safety and minimum production disruption.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in either Production Engineering &/or Project Construction with proven knowledge of piping & control systems.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Must be ambitious and independent, able to effectively analyse and solve problems in different areas.
Must have the ability to work in a culturally diverse, remote and challenging environment.
Must have management skills that including team development, leadership, negotiation and persuasion skills.
Must be organised and decisive and capable of managing an emergency situation effectively.
English, (French &/or Arabic would be advantageous but is not mandatory)
