A permanent position is available for a publicly traded E&P, located in Houston, Texas. Our client, voted in this year's top 5 operators to invest in, is currently looking for an experienced Production Engineer to work in their expanding business.

*Work as an active team member with geoscientists, landmen, drilling engineers, facilities engineers, production operations, regulatory analysts, reservoir engineers and others in a dynamic, fast paced organization.
*Daily surveillance and evaluation of producing wells in assigned areas, assuring that performance is maximized.
*Understand and follow all HSE and regulatory practices.
*Work with field engineering counterparts to identify, evaluate and implement new technologies that can aid in the production of shale wells.
*Work with team in the development of LOE and production budgets and forecasts.
*Review financial statements - ensure accuracy of reported information and identify cost reduction potential.
*Planning and design of production, remedial and other well operations required to optimize asset performance.
*Write procedures and justification for approved optimization / well intervention / remedial projects in assigned areas.
*Provide engineering support for ongoing operations in assigned areas. Work with production superintendents during the execution of projects in a manner that delivers projects:
*within 10% of AFE estimates with respect to costs and initial production rates;
*improved cost, production and cycle time efficiency ;
*are HSE or regulatory compliant;
*Analyze results of implemented projects and present same to peers and management.
*Identify and document best practices for production of horizontal gas wells.
*Respond quickly to the needs of field personnel so that well production is maximized and downtime is minimized.
*Provide engineering support for various divisional initiatives and studies as required.
*Work with facilities engineer and production ops to ensure proper surface facilities are in place and optimized.
*Aggressively solve problems & deficiencies when they occur.
*Record and share lessons learned; conduct post well reviews as necessary.

The ideal candidate would have:
*8+ years experience
*Strong team player, leader and communicator that is results driven, but places high value on safety; the environment; and regulatory compliance in a team environment.
*Must have ability to develop and manage multiple, fast track projects with dedication to obtaining desired results and a strong drive for continuous improvement.
*Must be flexible and capable of traveling and working in the field as required.
*Must possess strong motivational skills in order to achieve maximum results in a diverse workforce.
*Horizontal well completions; unconventional reservoirs; and facilities engineering experience a plus.
*Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Good PC skills are required.
*Minimum 3 years related experience.
*Engineering degree required; Petroleum Engineering degree a plus.
