Job Description
GREENFIELD PROCESS ENGINEER required by our Client, an International Oil & Gas Operator, to be based in London, UK.

POSITION SCOPE

The Project requires the services of a Process Engineer to assist the Lead Process Engineer providing relevant expertise within the Project in both, a technically self-sufficient capacity, as well as, where appropriate, leading a team of discipline professional engineers.

The role involves managing both internal and external resources and interfaces according to the project scope and schedule. The role shall involve representation of the Project where appropriate to Contractor(s), consulting companies and service providers as appropriate to the needs of the work.

The Process Engineer would be full time, located in the offices of the Principal Engineering Contractor in West London. As the project moves through fabrication and onshore commissioning the process engineer will be required either travel or relocate to the fabricators location. Offshore work may also be required to assist commissioning and start-up.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Function as a member of the Project
Assist the Lead Process Engineer in managing the Principal Engineering Contractor in execution of the Topsides Engineering scope of the project from FEED through to Detailed Design.
In conjunction with the Lead Process Engineer interface with other project participants and project stakeholders.
Be responsible for liaison with company's Commissioning.
Act as Process Engineering Lead in Follow-on Engineering Phase i.e. through fabrication, onshore and offshore commissioning.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in similar projects
As a minimum be Degree qualified Chartered Process Engineer with recent practice of Process Engineering and a proven experience of related Greenfield Projects.
Knowledge of facilities design is essential incorporating detailed knowledge of platform facilities.
Hands on experience in commissioning and start-up of offshore oil and gas facilities is preferred
Knowledge and experience of production operations
Prior experience work working within a client surveillance team role would be preferred
Good perspective of the project context and lifecycle

Bachelors Degree Hons or equivalent
