Job Description

The Job: Monitor Site Construction, Commissioning and related activities. Routine Inspection of installations and commissioning activities to follow standards and procedures. Prepare construction reports, collect data and witness key installation activities. Interpretation & application of Mechanical Engineering schematics, Plans, Isometrics, assembly drawings & piping instrumentation diagrams. Enforcing strict Health, safety and environmental awareness and follow-up with contractors. Maintain effective performance measures for all mechanical systems during construction. Shall follow and enforce the QHSE policy from ROO. Minimum Experience10-15 years working in the refineries and onshore oil and gas sector in the following categories: Vast Experience in inspecting installation commissioning of Water injection system, oil/gas and separations, pumps, gas compression system and gas turbines. Well versed with interpretation of Engineering drawings, Isometrics, PGA's and P&ID's. Experience and knowledge in all Quality Control procedures of Piping, Welding and Installation of Equipments. Experience with the use of international standards and codes of practices, such as API, ASME, ASTM, BS, ANSI, etc. Experienced in identification of Piping classes, valves, fittings and welding electrodes as per codes. Following Contractor's job as per plan and witnessing erection activities. Good knowledge in Turbines, Pumps and compressor alignment and assembly procedures. Experienced in NDT, hydro tests and other testing procedures at site. Co-ordination between contractors, site office and engineering office. Preparation of site modification requests, Non conformity reports, Technical queries. Implementation of High Safety, Health and Environmental awareness with contractors. 5 years experience in a multi-cultural environment with extensive experience in the training of local nationals. Computer literacy: Microsoft Excel & Word. A high standard of safety awareness. Core Skills: Team Management: Able to fit in to a multi-cultural team. Well developed coaching skills. Interpersonal: Capacity to develop good working relationships with superiors & subordinates within the organization. Systematic approach to troubleshooting & diagnosing problems associated with Mechanical systems at site. Self Management: Able to adjust priorities in a changing work environment. Must be able to work without direct supervision. Communication: Excellent communication skills are required to function in this multi-cultural environment. Academics: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering or equivalent. Libyan or International Driving License. Higher Level Certificate in spoken & written English
