Job Description
Our Client has a vacancy for an Insulation Supervisor based in Arzew, Algeria. This is a contract position with a 4/4 rotation.

Accountability:
Control, supervise and coordinate all site insulation construction activities to ensure that the project workscope is completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Basic Functions:
Attend daily/weekly meetings as required by the Construction Manager.
Liaison with the Aberdeen Engineering department to resolve any day to day issues and raise technical queries where required.
Highlight all material shortfalls and assist the materials department with raising requisitions.
Identify tools, plant and equipment required to complete work scopes.
Carry out daily toolbox talks with the sub contract workforce.
Carry out site safety audits with the site HSE department
Approve sub contractors timesheets on a daily/weekly basis.

Principal Responsibilities:
Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with third parties including client personnel.
Ensure by leadership and guidance that the insulation contracted works meet all commercial, quality and schedule targets.
Ensure the sub contractors carry out the witness, inspection and surveillance checks in accordance with the project quality requirements.
Ensure correct change control procedures are followed by the sub contractors and responses to technical queries are appropriate and practical.
Ensure that all project QA/QC documentation is completed in a timely manner and close out all relevant project documentation.
Monitor and report progress against each activity as required by the Construction Manager.
Work closely with other site supervisors to ensure all works are correctly planned and interfaces are managed in an acceptable manner.

Skills/Qualifications

Technical / Business Skills:
Must be experienced in the construction field and have the technical ability to supervise a sub contract labour force.

Interpersonal Skills:
Must be computer literate and familiar with workpacks, job cards and completion documentation.
Must be a team player and have good communication skills.

Business / Industry Experience:
Previous experience in this type of role with live plant experience.

Education:
City and Guilds or similar preferred but experience is important here.
Qualifications
Vocational or equivalent
