Senior Environment, Health and Safety Professional (On-call) in US-CT-Rocky Hill, United States



Overview / Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities  

Provides services to clients in the areas of:

  • Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance
  • Technical assistance with regulatory programs in various industries
  • Environmental permitting
  • Sustainability strategies
  • EH&S audits and inspections
  • EH&S management systems development, including drafting of standard procedures, guidance and training documents
  • Asbestos/mold/lead assessment
  • EH&S training
  • Other related EH&S programs


Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree desirable
  • 15+ years of experience is required
  • Professional certification, such as PE, PG, CSS, CIH or CSP, is preferred
  • Technical proficiency in one or more of the following is expected: water quality/wastewater treatment, air quality permitting/technology, ISO 14001 management systems, hazardous waste management, wetlands/ecology, emergency response, industrial hygiene, or related fields
  • Significant knowledge of and experience with industry specific software (e.g., MS Office, AutoCAD and MS Project) required
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated task and project management skills
  • Staff management and leadership ability
  • Demonstrated maturity in judgment, initiative and client relations
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to develop business from new and existing clients
  • Ability to establish effective internal and external working relationships
  • Valid drivers license and insurable driving record
  • Must pass 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training and annual refresher course, if required
  • Ability travel frequently to project sites, including sites remote from the office, as part of on-site team
  • Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
