Magnox are running a competitive tendering exercise under the NDA collaborative procurement (CP) exercise for the supply of Health Physics Services to the following Magnox sites:
Hunterston A, Chapelcross, Wylfa, Trawsfynydd, Berkeley, Oldbury, Hinkley A, Dungeness A, Bradwell, Sizewell A.
The NDA CP framework covers all operational health physics resources supplied to the Magnox sites. Nuvia Limited has already been awarded a Framework contract under this tendering exercise and will be tendering for the work at all the individual sites. Fircroft are working in partnership with Nuvia to compile lists of suitable resources who would be interested in working with Nuvia at all Magnox Sites, should they be successful with their tenders.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates must be able to work in radiation and contamination controlled areas and be experienced in the use of appropriate PPE and RPE including working in physically demanding environments
All candidates will be required to pass a pre-works medical. All candidates will be required to undertake and pass a Health Physics examination to demonstrate their ability to perform routine calculations, selection and use of RPI, monitoring procedures, etc
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally have a relevant nuclear industry qualification and experience of radiation protection in the Nuclear Industry undertaking an Operational Health Physics role. Applicants must be experienced in the use of a wide variety of radiation protection Instrumentation. Experience in change barrier procedures, use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE ), undertaking routine and special radiation protection control surveys together with a proven ability to work as part of a team is essential.. You must be able to carry out Health Physics Calculations.
Stage 1 City & Guilds in Radiation Protection or equivalent
