Purpose:

Worley is currently looking for a Network Monitoring Manager who will support an expanded network with company assets and reduce downtime in the network to improve productivity and customer delivery.  The ideal candidate will have a shared responsibility for outcomes that contribute to the organization and increase opportunity and capability through the stability and effectiveness of the Worley operating environment.

Responsibilities: 
  • Lead the network monitoring team to keep Worleys global network infrastructure up and running 24/7/52 across all geographical locations responsible for overall team success
  • Lead team to develop operational processes and practices for network operations and continued improvement
  • Manage the process of ongoing support renewals for network equipment and services includes budget guidance to meet SLA objectives
  • Ensure all services including network transport services are defined in asset management and monitoring tools
  • Responsible for ensuring network inventory is up to date and appropriately defined in network monitoring tools
  • Responsible for the definition and execution of the network capacity management process
  • Responsible for the definition and execution of the asset management process
  • Responsible for the definition and execution of the asset management process
  • Responsible for the definition of the network incident management process primary responsibility for execution sits with the regional teams
  • Responsible for telecom vendor management service providers in global scope
  • Responsible for budget and forecast of global network operations
  • Manage organizational response to alerts and incidents according to standard process
  • Expected to offer suggestions for process improvements and develop new standard operating procedures
  • Maintain the network alerts catalog


What you will bring


Required Technical and Industry Experience: 
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or related field
  • 7 years experience in managing a team of experienced and skilled network administrators, preferably in a cross geographical and cultural environment
  • Knowledge and experience in LAN/WAN operational support; understanding of implementation and configuration of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, WAN optimization and wireless. 
  • Experience managing/supporting large scale global network environment
  • Experienced as a support engineer LAN/WAN SD-WAN, VPN, Radius/ACS technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Routing, Switching, and Firewall solutions.
  • Understands Networking protocols, Management Software such as SolarWinds
  • Familiar with carriers and carrier services such as ISP connections, point-to-point leased data circuits, and SD-WAN, MPLS, VPLS along with voice/PSTN services
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
  • Analytical approach to resolving complex issues or opportunities
  • Ability to utilize SolarWinds and/or other monitoring tools as required.
  • Experience in capacity planning, network monitoring, and performance tuning, and troubleshooting of firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, wireless, etc.
  • Familiar with vendor maintenance and support processes and maintenance contracts
  • Familiar with building a budget for network support and growth
  • Good written and verbal communication • Good interpersonal skills, team player, highly motivated, well organized, and results oriented.
  • Highly independent and possesses a strong sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Special work hours requirement: Participate in major incident handling and off-hours/weekend maintenance activities, as necessary
  • Sound knowledge of industry standards and methodologies
  • Solid of maintenance and support practices for large scale IT infrastructure
  • Familiar with ITIL processes

Required:

•           Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or related field
