Job Description
Our client, a Global Manufacturer of Equipment servicing the Oil and Gas Industry on and offshore are currently recruiting for a
Senior Mechanical Engineer based in their Aberdeen offices.

JOB PURPOSE:
To perform senior mechanical engineering duties within the company's business line to establish accurate documentations on products, and to support engineering efforts at the company, whilst adhering to QHSE standards, responsibilities policies, and procedures. The incumbent must also comply with the OH&S responsibilities as detailed in section 4.4.1 of the OHSAS manual.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading efforts to produce drawings, BOM’s and documents.
Sales and manufacturing support
Quotation and order review
Establishing engineering schedule and integration with manufacturing
Development and harmonisation of engineering systems, codes of practice and engineering standards.
Creating, implementing and monitoring improved formal systems engineering and engineering processes.
Produce engineering documentations for product lines/designs.
Checking drawings, for dimensional accuracy, tolerances and presentation.
Interaction with production/quality/stores/purchasing departments to ensure that parts and builds are as per the design.
Develop skills and knowledge to provide coverage for absent departmental colleagues as required.
Develop skills and knowledge to become the Product Specialist
Liaise with fabrication workshop during the course of a project.
Maintains product and Company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
Very competent in the design of a product, and the design of a product for manufacture.
Working knowledge of Auto Desk Inventor and Solid Works
Proven track record in oil and gas drilling / manufacturing sector
Previous experience in developing teams

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
