Job Description

Our client is looking for Marketing and Communications Manager for the US. (Oil & Gas)

You will be required to:

  • Development of the Americas marketing strategy and budget process
  • Implementation of the marketing strategy, across all media , working in partnership with the Business Development team and in full alignment with the rest of the global marketing strategy
  • External and internal market trend analysis to ensure we maintain a competitive edge; make recommendations based on insight
  • Insight to include deep understanding of:
    • Our customers and customer segments
    • Our competitors
    • Key stakeholders
    • Trends in the marketplace
  • Track spend against budget and highlight any discrepancies and make recommendations
  • Manager the design and production of the individual tactical activities within the marketing strategy: printed collateral (including course directory), advertising, events / exhibitions, digital content
  • Day to day management of the Company Training Services websites: update and refresh
  • Ensure brand compliance to Company Group guidelines
  • Day to day management of 3rd party agencies
  • Acting as a point of contact for requests and queries from the regional teams (Europe, MEACA and AsiaPac) and the Leadership team in relation to communications and marketing. Also provide assistance to requests from Group.
  • Relationship management with media, key stakeholders and selected customers
  • Support the Global Marketing Manager with additional activities as required

Successful applicants must have the following attributes:

  • Relevant degree in, marketing and / or business management
  • Experience in marketing environment, ideally with oil and gas: full understanding and demonstrable experience of the full marketing mix
  • Strong communications experience and proven copywriting skills
  • Experience of managing agencies or 3rd party suppliers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to listen and respond to others
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • A self-starter
  • Ability to oversee budgets
  • Proven ability to source, compile and analyse data from diverse sources and comment upon changes and remedial actions

The marketing manager has to develop an understanding of all of the above and provide regional support to all business streams.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
